The Team at the Actors Co-op will always be available to meet needs and address concerns. They are Val McAdoo, Pete Postiglione, Larry Jansen, and Allison Kessler. The Actors Co-op is pleased to anounce the addition of two more amazing people, Amy V Morse and Brian Gallagher. This dynamic and diverse team has over four decades of industry experience on both sides of the camera.
Val is one of the Co-Founders and administrators of the Co-op. In her young illustrious career she has either produced or has been featured in three Feature films, which include Hollywood, What Do I Do Now, and the award-winning
D-Railed. She was also featured in an Original Web Series called Certifiable.
Pete is also one of the Co-Founders and administrators of the Co-Op. Since 2006, Pete has been working as an actor, writer, and producer in the East Coast film and television industry. His notable credits include Silver Linings Playbook, Slow Learners, and Hollywould. He was nominated for Best Actor in a short film titled, My Million Dollar Mom. Pete was also nominated for an Emmy for hosting, “Dig Philly TV,” which was produced by NBC/Universal. Pete goes all-in with things once committed to them, and, underneath all of that, is his love for creativity. Pete is the perfect example of an acting professional who continues to build a successful career while staying local.
Since 2010, Allison has been sharing her passion teaching children of all ages the wonders of acting, first in Erie, PA through her University and the Erie Playhouse, and now, in the Philadelphia area. She has been a Teaching Artist for The Walnut Street Theatre and Act II Playhouse helping young creative souls discover the art of building a character and developing a story. Allison is excited to join the Actor Co-Op and share her experiences, both on-screen and on-stage, to aspiring actors.
With 30 years of teaching and directing experience, Larry brings the "X" factor to his approach of teaching. He has started theater programs at five area grade schools and has numerous awards to his credit. He has taught film acting at The Actors Center in Philadelphia for 6 years and now is a member here at The Actors Co-op!
Brian holds a Masters degree in Social Work and before becoming an actor, he worked as a university professor, a nonprofit program director, and a team-building facilitator for corporations and schools. in 2006, he changed careers and became a Hedgerow theatre company member for three years before entering the world of film and television. On TV, he appeared in ABC's How to Get Away with Murder, was a recurring character on WGN's Outsiders, and has a small but fun role in the upcoming AMC series Dispatches from Elsewhere. In film, he has acted on major projects with Mark Ruffalo, Tessa Thompson, Michael B. Jordan, Nicole Kidman, Bryan Cranston, Tim Robbins, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and more. He now writes, directs and produces for the nonprofit company he co-founded, Of Substance, making short, narrative films about addiction and recovery.
Amy V Morse is an award-winning actor, writer, director and producer with over twenty years of professional experience. She has taught classes and coached privately in New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia and now our very own Swarthmore. MFA Yale School of Drama, BA Dickinson College, cum laude.
